CEO, NPP Australia
Adrian commenced as the inaugural CEO of NPP Australia in September 2016. Prior to joining NPP Australia, Adrian was General Manager, Product & Service at Cuscal, where he was responsible for all product management and operational functions, marketing, sales, and client service. Cuscal was a founding participant of the Real Time Payments Committee and Adrian was one of several senior staff deeply involved in the design, development and governance of Australia’s NPP. Adrian has an Honours degree in Law from Queensland University of Technology and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
General Manager, Technology & Operations
Bob Masina’s key focus at NPP Australia is to assist in the completion of the NPP program work and to gear up the organisation to be fully operational ahead of the live date in the second half of 2017. Bob’s previous role was Executive Manager, Payments Operations with Australian Payments Clearing Association (APCA) where he coordinated the industry development of the ISO20022 messaging standard. Bob had been involved from the early conceptual stages of the NPP and provided management support to the NPP Board and program. He has held technology and operations executive positions at Link Market Services and the Australian Stock Exchange.
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Vanessa Chapman is a senior corporate lawyer with extensive top tier private practice and in-house payments industry legal and executive management experience, with particular expertise in payment systems and payments regulation. She joins NPP Australia from APCA, where she worked for more than 6 years, more recently in the position of General Counsel. Vanessa has been involved in the NPP programme since its inception, particularly in the formulation of the NPP governance arrangements. She has BA (Econ.)/LLB and Master of Laws (Corporate and Commercial) from University of New South Wales.
Executive Manager, Engagement
Working alongside Jason, Katrina is also responsible for market engagement for NPP Australia, working with financial institutions, prospective Overlay Service providers and other interested parties to grow volumes on the platform. Prior to joining NPP Australia, Katrina worked for American Express in Sydney, Singapore and London with responsibility for growing third party issuing and acquiring volumes in multiple markets across South East Asia. Katrina has also worked for National Australia Bank, managing their Self Service Channel, as well as with Booz Allen & Hamilton as a management consultant in their Financial Services Practice.
Executive Manager, Engagement
Jason Krebs is a payments professional who has experience developing and delivering large scale, multi-year, transformational projects in payments. He has held a variety of senior payments focused roles in Westpac, Macquarie Bank, Virgin Money and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia prior to joining NPP Australia where he is responsible for driving NPP market engagement. In this position Jason works with financial institutions, prospective Overlay Service providers and other interested parties with a view to growing the platform.
Company Secretary and Office Manager
Patricia Chen was the second employee of NPP Australia, joining in October 2015. She has a dual role as Company Secretary and Office Manager. Patricia brings to NPP Australia more than ten years of experience as a Finance and Office Manager. She most recently worked with Silicon Valley based Dtex Systems where Patricia played an instrumental part in the company achieving Series A venture capital funding. Prior to this, Patricia worked at Pcubed Australia and Fox International Channels.
Lisa provides NPP Australia communications advice and support to help grow the NPP as well collaborating with the wider industry in the lead up to the Platform’s launch. A formally trained journalist, Lisa has spent nearly 20 years working in a variety of communications focused roles across various industries including financial services, aviation, professional services and technology.
